Wrangler
window displays
Following the success of our Blue Bell pop-up shop, Wrangler
commissioned us to design and produce FW09 window displays for their
flagship stores in London and Madrid plus 26 concession locations in
6 European countries. Taking
cues from Wrangler’s new season collection our concept was heavily
influenced by another iconic slice of Americana - the great American
road trip and by association biker culture.
In this vein we created two distinct concepts: ‘Feel Pride’
and ‘Call of the Wild’.
Feel Pride involved giant silkscreen prints featuring an abstract
American flag and eagle in flight, each print having been stained
and treated by hand to give it a warm and weathered feel and bundles
of customised vintage paper rolls provided a textual compliment to
the collection’s soft leather jackets and worn-in denim.
Call of the Wild, played on emphasising biker imagery – in this
case using the image of a motorbike airbrushed onto vintage hessian
fabric which were further embellished with embroidered metal beads
a highly intricate work, each one taking 12 hours to complete.
Both window concepts successfully brought
to life the adventurous spirit and vintage heritage of the FW09 collections,
dually enhancing Wranglers image as a brand firmly rooted in the authenticity
of it’s heritage whilst also being prepared to twist that history
into something fresh and exciting to reignite the period for a contemporary
audience.
Sale and Christmas window campaigns then followed.
We have been commissioned to design
and produce all the Wrangler Europe and Wrangler Blue Bell window
campaigns for 2010 across their retail and wholesale channels.
